Therapeutic Recreation (TR) means fun, relaxing, fulfilling activities that allow individuals to participate comfortably with the group, learning new perspectives and ways of thinking. Through TR participants can connect with others and learn positive behaviors leading to a happier, more active lifestyle.
In the United States, TR specialists play an active role within schools, hospitals, welfare and recreational facilities. Research into the benefits of TR is being conducted under the banners of "welfare recreation" in Japan and "diversional therapy" in Australia. Although the names are different, we are all pursuing ways of enhancing QOL for those with and without disabilities.
At YYLab we believe energy and vitality improve our ability to concentrate, creating ideal conditions for learning. This is known as the Flow Zone. Therefore, recreation is essential for an enjoyable and fulfilling life. Our aim is to provide TR born out of close contact with nature by organizing outdoor activities for participants and their families.
