Lab activity report
Therapeutic Recreation (TR)
Everyone, regardless of disability, age, or gender, can enjoy recreational sports and camping.
These activities have therapeutic value. They are a fun and rewarding way for us to make connections with others and to improve our mental and physical health.
We are conducting research on effective approaches to therapeutic recreation that will provide the most value for participants. Through active learning, practicing TR as part of our daily routine, lab members can appreciate its effects and see how TR can improve the lives of people with various needs, including those with mental and physical disabilities.
